Who doesn’t like a burger…Tender, juicy and filled with just about anything you want.  The burger is such a versatile meal, you can pair it with pretty much anything and it can be eaten at anytime.  I like to cook burgers for my family, my son loves them and so does my fiance.  This recipe that I want to share with you is one of my favorites, I call it  the “Cali-burger”. It is filled with avocado, relish, mayo, lettuce and tomatoes (cheese optional) easy to make, and awesomely tasteful.

  1. 1.5LB ground beef (80/20) this makes the burger juicer.
  2. 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
  3. 2 haas avocados
  4. 1/4 cup of cilantro, chopped
  5. salt pepper to taste
  6. 3 tbs of Worcestershire sauce
  7. 1 lime
  8. 3 tbs of olive oil
  9. 1/4 cup of chopped onions(red,white,yellow)
  10. Lettuce/tomatoes/Mayo

In a large bowl mix the ground beef with the garlic, onions, salt, pepper and the Worcestershire sauce. Let it marinate for 25-30 minutes at room temperature.  In a separate bowl combine the avocado with the cilantro, lime juice ,salt/pepper and olive oil.  Use a fork and mix well to a sort of guacamole consistency (chunky is  OK too).  Each patty should be about 4.5 oz.  Heat up the grill and cook to your liking (these can be also cooked on the stove). Toast the buns, add the mayo, lettuce, tomato and avocado and enjoy with friends and family.
